New hangout place for coffee, tea, book and board game lovers in Malabon City! It is rare to find a place that almost have everything a person is looking for in a café. The outside looks isolated but it’s different inside, Coffee Tea Library will give you a different kind of experience: Instagram worthy designs, comfy space, inexpensive yet quality coffee, different selection of books and games, accommodating and friendly staffs, daily promos – just WOW! Great concept. 🙂 I could have stayed longer if only I’m with a friend. Haha.
Been there once so I haven’t tried everything yet. I ordered Herb Cheese Nachos for P85 and Dark Chocolate Cream-Based Ice Blended for P140. They do not have pastries by the time I went there, I would have ordered Blueberry Cheesecake (my favorite). Nachos and Chocolate drink might not be a good pair but I don’t mind, I like them both! 🙂
Here’s the list of their daily promos:
Very friendly and fun to talk to. I think they find me weird because I kept on walking and taking pictures so one of the staffs offered to take a picture of me. I did not mention that I will be using these photos for my blog. 😛 The crafts are made by them too, amazing!
I’m glad to find a rare place like this. Superb!
Location: Unit 103-104 A&S Bldg 189 MacArthur Hwy Potrero, Malabon City
Landmark: Beside Victoria Court and in front of Infinima Spa
My first time to try a board game cafe. 🙂 Came here with my friends on a Sunday night because we want to play board games and to check out the new place as well.
The Place and Ambiance
Fire Sword Cafe is not that big but could accommodate enough people to eat while enjoying the board games. 🙂 I like how they designed their tables with borders to avoid the falling of small objects and there is also an extra shelf beneath the table where we can hide the box or extra items of board games in order to have more space for the table.
A great place to bond with friends and family!
The staffs and even the owner are very accommodating and generous enough to teach us how to play King of Tokyo and Takenoko. Haha. They are very helpful in suggesting new games for us to try! I like all games that we have played: Epic Spell Wars, King of Tokyo and Takenoko.
As for the food, I only tried the Swissmiss Milk Shake and it was actually delicious. 🙂 There is no doubt that I will come back here with my friends to try the other foods and board games.
Location: Unit 201 Times Square Building, 57 Examiner Corner Times Street, West Triangle, Quezon City
Ethan’s Cafe is just 5 minutes away from where I live and if I’m not mistaken, this is the first coffee shop that opened in our neighbor. I spent one afternoon there with my sister and nephew. The exterior design is very modern and just by seeing it for the first time made me “WOW” already.
The cafe have two floors. The first floor is small but could accommodate enough people and has a cute interior design. At the second floor are the balcony and a room that can be reserve for parties or private gatherings.
Aside from coffee and pastries, they also serve pasta and rice meals but I haven’t tried them yet. We ordered Blueberry Cheesecake, Pistachio Cake, Java Chip Frappucino, Cookies and Cream Frappucino and Iced Mocha. They use Mason Jars for cold drinks, something that I personally like about in coffee shops. 🙂
Place: OK. I like its modernism.
Staffs: Very friendly and accommodating. I even had the gut to ask one of the staffs who Ethan is. lol. Ethan is the son of the owners.
Will definitely go back to try other foods that they offer. I bet this place will become popular soon.
Located at 14 Fausto St. cor. Manotoc Subdivision, Marulas, Valenzuela City
There are several restaurants that one can choose from when you’re at SM City North EDSA for an obvious reason: It has three buildings! From The Annex to The Block and vice-versa, it can be quite hard to choose where to eat, especially when you are with your barkada. Ask them and you’ll most likely be answered with a resounding, “Kahit saan!”
Well, 8 Street Bites Restaurant just might be for you and your group! It is an American-themed casual dining restaurant that offers a variety if choices. From appetizers to main dishes, to drinks and desserts that will surely satisfy everyone. Here’s a sneak peek as to why you should try and visit:
The Place and Ambiance
From the post-it design to the freedom wall up to the lighting, it really is inviting and has that oh-so-cozy feel that you would want to stay a little longer.
Aside from its inviting ambiance, the food is also affordable – another reason why it is a perfect place to chill with your friends! Below are just some of their must-try:

When I ask a friend, “Have you been to McKinley Hill?” I often get the answer, “Uhm… no. How do you go there?” Haha. Well, there are vans near the MRT-Ayala Station (SM Makati Side) that costs P25 going to McKinley Hill and vice-versa.
McKinley Hill is in Taguig City; mostly known for its Megaworld condominiums, embassies, football field – Emperador Stadium, international schools and office buildings. But what most don’t know, is that the community also boasts a restaurant strip that serve an impressive array of foreign cuisine. These restaurants are really a must-try!
Black Canyon Coffee
They serve not only coffee but also internationally known Thai cuisine such as Pad Thai. The first floor is a casual dining area but if you want to chill in a cozy café style ambiance, then the second floor is for you. My favorite drink to order is their Cha Thai Yen (Thai Iced Tea with milk). <3
Formerly known as “The Burgery” it is one of the most affordable eats at posh Tuscany. The menu mostly consists of Western food favorites. I recommend Lucky’s Crispy Bacon and Egg. It’s like a Baconsilog with a twist!
If cooking is your hobby then you should visit this store! All of the good stuff from Spain are available here. Every time I visit this store, I’m wishing that I have unlimited money because I want to buy everything that they sell! After seeing the ingredients, you would want to go home immediately and cook! 🙂
This place has more of Canadian comfort food and has a vintage feel. They have their signature cup of happiness ice cream which comes in eight flavors, (P95/cup)! Great place to chill with your friends, may it be noon or night. Try their best-seller Poutine and Buttermilk Chicken (you might also want to order and add a glass of beer to that) Enjoy!
Wursty-Wursty is worth the price and I must say, has a unique name. If you are in the McKinley area, you might want to check out this place. This is the best place to have some fun especially on a Friday night – grab some beer with your friends, jam with the band and eat a variety of finger food! You can buy a whole liter of draft beer that will last you the whole night for just P200. Not bad, right?
If you’re after some Filipino cuisine, then go here. They serve some of the best and classic Filipino favorites – fresh lumpiang ubod, sizzling bangus, etc. Don’t forget to leave some space for dessert because they also serve homemade ice cream and halu-halo!
A newly-opened modern sushi house at Tuscany, they offer fresh and authentic Japanese delicacies that are prepared in the traditional Japanese cooking way. It has two floors: first floor has the sushi bar and the second floor is for private dining. Outside of the restaurant are some Cherry Blossom decors.
